I need to stop Avast. I run a remote desktop and I use Thin Print to be able to print to my local printers. The problem is that when Avast is running it will not let the Thin Print program start… any suggestions or help would be great
Welcome to the forum.
What message are you getting that makes you believe it’s avast! interfering with the program ???
Post a screenshot if you can.
There isn’t an error message… before it was installed the program worked… what it does is shows up in the tray down by the time when working correctly (Thin Print). Now that Avast has been installed it just doesn’t show down there. I even tried to go to the exclusions (in Avast) and put in the program location there (for Thin Print) so it wouldn’t stop it but still isn’t working.
Which version of avast! are you using and what operating system is on your computer ???
I am running Windows XP service pack 3… how do I find the Avast information?
Right click the avast icon, last option (About avast).
Avast version is 5.1.889
You’re running an old version. version 6 has been out for a while
May I suggest that you try the latest pre-release version recently made available.
It’s running without any problems on my system and has solved many incompatibility issues.
You can read about it and download the version you’re currently using (Free - Pro - Internet Suite)
