HELP! Win32:malware-gen and Win32:downloader PKU on AVAST

HELP PLEASE!! Avast started throwing MALWARE BLOCKED notifications. It toggles back and forth between Win32:Downloader [PKU] and Win32:Malware-gen, always claiming the same process (C:\Windows\system32\services.exe). When I look at the shield log it always successfully moves the item to the chest, and the File name listed in the shield logs is c:\Windows\Installer.…\80000000.@ ASSORTED

I have ran a system scan, boot scan, Malwarebytes, and Spyware but nothing works it finds threats, removes but at start up it starts all over again. In the beginning a lot of stuff was found but now I am finding almost nothing. Still though, the Avast popup is occurring about every 5 minutes or so even with no browser opening. I’ve been dealing with this for 5 days now, desperate.

Download and Install Combofix

Download ComboFix from one of the following locations:

VERY IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • IMPORTANT - Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. If you have difficulty properly disabling your protective programs, refer to this link here

[*]Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
[*]Accept the disclaimer and allow to update if it asks

[*]When finished, it shall produce a log for you.
[*]Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Notes:

  1. Do not mouse-click Combofix’s window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.
  2. Do not “re-run” Combofix. If you have a problem, reply back for further instructions.
  3. If after the reboot you get errors about programmes being marked for deletion then reboot, that will cure it.

Please make sure you include the combo fix log in your next reply as well as describe how your computer is running now

Download OTL to your Desktop

[*]Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.

[*]When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.

Combofix did not complete … So I will run an OTL fix and then ask you to re-run combofix

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

One more run

  1. Close any open browsers.
  2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  3. Open notepad and copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into it:
FCopy:: C:\Windows\winsxs\x86_microsoft-windows-s..s-servicecontroller_31bf3856ad364e35_6.0.6002.18005_none_d14b3973ca6acc56\services.exe|c:\windows\system32\Services.exe
Save this as [b]CFScript.txt[/b], in the same location as ComboFix.exe

Refering to the picture above, drag CFScript into ComboFix.exeWhen finished, it shall produce a log for you at C:\ComboFix.txt which I will require in your next reply.

Alright I ran combofix, when it rebooted my screen went black, I kept rebooting but the same thing happened, windows repaired but brought back the alerts. So i redid the OTL Fix process followed through again, just got done with combofix, but it failed to do a log. So far no alerts from avast. ?? i did include the last OTL.TXT.

I dont know if I should run the combofix again with the cfscript.txt?
