** HELP ** Win32:Trojano-1941 [Trj]

Hey all

I need some help here on this nasty one.

I have this Trojan, Win32:Trojano-1941 [Trj] that everytime Avast or even my Norton 2005 move it to the chest… it simply regenerates itself under another file name in the Windows System 32 folder under the extensions - trz32.tmp, trz33.tmp etc

Please help as every time I delete it or mnove it to the chest it renames and re-generates itself!

Are you using Norton (Antivirus) in the same computer with avast?
Are you using Windows XP?
Did you disable System Restore, boot and then enable it again?
Did you clean your Internet temporary files?
And, last, can you schedule a boot time scanning with avast and see if you get rid of it?

Happy New Year and welcome to avast forums 8)

Hi collared_hubby,

Two AV’s with on-access scanning on the same computer at the same time is a no-no: they fight over files to scan like two dogs over a bone.

Decide which one you want to keep and uninstall the other.

Run a boot time scan with avast! if you decide to keep it.

Run scans with the following programs:

Ewido http://www.ewido.net/en/

a-Squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/

Ad-Aware http://www.majorgeeks.com/download506.html

Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/

The first two are anti-Trojan programs, the second anti-Spyware programs. They can clear out registry entries that can prevent AV’s from deleting malware.

Good luck!
