Really need some help with I THINK! Webshield. Recently I’ve been unable to log on to ANY website that requires a username and password, example, Skype, Facebook, Amazon my Own Website! This has really effected my business and I’ve been unable to resolve issues with my own customers. I’ve been working on it for two days (not IT literate really) I got it working yesturday by adding the website into the exempt file in Webshield, but this no longer works. I’m really struggling and will soon have to uninstall Avast which I’ve been using for two year now and really like.
Thanks - that’s helpful as it means that it’s not Avast! Bit late though as i uninstalled Avast and now I have No connection at all to the Ineternet. I’ll keep searching.
Help!!! I paid for downloaded what I thought was the professional edition of avast! with payment via a credit card. After paying for the service the website HQ software came up with the download for the professional edition. I downloaded the program only to find it was the free home version and the bogus site took my money. Has anyone else had this happen to them? It says I have already paid for the professional edition but I cannot figure out how to download it. The HQ softward site / email came back to me as undeliverable. Anyone else got scammed?
You may have been the unwitting victim of a scam, they aren’t selling the avast Pro version but some sort of support service.
Sales of avast pro are through the the avast site and the on-line store, etc. Plus there are also authorised resellers/distributors and those names and contacts are also on the avast.com web site also.
So where exactly did you get this from ?
I would suggest you go back to them and try to get your money back as you haven’t got what you thought you purchased. If necessary contact your credit card company.
second, why do you purchase from a website without checking the connections to the producers of the program? (no offense meant)
you didnt receive a registration key? if you did you can download the profesional from THIS website
if you didnt then you have to contact your creditcard company and have them undo the money transfer asap… if you contact them with the scam story then i think its possible to have it happen…
after that, i hope you learned to go to the website from the program that you want to purchase and buy it from there or search for a reseller that you get from their website (in this case www.avast.com) and buy the program afteral
Hello there, since ive had my laptop seviced,it does not pop up when i log in ,saying its upgraded,so its not checking anything,ive been into --tools-- etc,and yes there is a – red-- cross on avast when i log in,but it wont let me alter it. ???
