Help with Avast Internet Security

Hello, was hoping for a little help with a small issue. I recently purchased a new laptop (Dell XPS-15). I deleted avast from my old one. Removed that device from my account. Installed Avast on my new laptop. It is activated. But it will not stay active for longer than a minute. Then it will disconnect and say " Something has gone wrong, we can not protect you. Please restart Avast". Then I restart it and a minute later it starts over. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Repair Avast:
Control Panel> Program and Features (Add/remove program)>Select Avast> Select Repair. Reboot when completed
