I see you guys help in a lot of different areas and hope you can help me. I am on slow dial up and the latest Zone Alarm is a 40MB d/l so I had read on here good things about Comodo. I d/l the latest version 2.4.18.184 and completely uninstalled ZA. I use the Firefox browser with Propel Accelerator. I have to set up a proxy in Firefox for the accelerator to work. The first time I tried to connect to the internet using Comodo all the boxes came up for Firefox and Propel and I allowed but I was unable to use the internet. I have XP SP2. Can anyone tell me what changes I have to make to be able to use my Firefox browser with the accelerator. A note - I disabled the proxy in Firefox and also the accelerator and I was able to use the internet. I am pretty much a novice at this so please explain in simple terms. Thanks
Seems that the firewall is blocking the browser or the proxy.
Does this happens after you boot again? Maybe on next boot the firewall will detect the ‘new’ asks for connections and you could allow them.
If you open Application monitor on Comodo, will your proxy program appear in that list? And the browser?
Thanks Tech. I checked and they were both there. Rebooted and everything is fine now. Thanks again
You’re welcome. Feel free to ask for help any time you need.
Hey, there is a free Comodo forum too and you can ask your questions there too 8)
