I had my computers stolen, bought a new one, and now I can’t get a response when I try to get my registration number. I don’t think I’m running any anti-spam software that would interfere with getting an email from Avast. I’m desperate. I took that awful McAfee off my machine and now I’m unprotected!

You aren’t unprotected, the demo license allows you 60 days unrestricted use of the program so there should be nothing to stop you installing it.
I also suggest that you remove your email from the post unless you like spam, there is nothing to stop a harvester gathering email addresses from publicly available web pages.
I have just gone through your previous posts and you appear to be having this problem on a very regular basis http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=23357.0 and http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=20469.0 there seems to be a problem with DNS resolution.
I suspect the same may be happening this time, if you could try another email address not on the cannacare.org domain and see if that works.

We’d certainly rather use the Professional version. They pretty much robbed us and took everything, including the money for our power bill. Hell, they even took our copy machine. No one was arrested…they just robbed us to show us that they could…and to terrorize us.
They are trying to make sure that we are unable to help disabled and dying patients here in Washington. I’ve almost stopped trying to figure out how people can be this evil and be totally devoid of compassion for terminally ill patients…but there seems to be no shortage of them.

Avast probably would give you a discount on the Professional version!
From the papers it would seem that the DEA and other authorities in your country exaggerated the extent of possessions. They legalized it here in Canada for medical use (for the same reasons) but through government agencies. Perhaps your work will eventually convince your government on medical use for the disabled and dying.
Anyhow that’s a different matter!
I’d MUCH rather run the professional version. Anything we can do to protect ourselves at this point is a major plus. Who would I contact about the possibility of a discount?
Canada is really a different story. You guys are even growing thousands of acres of hemp. We don’t have one acre in this country…even hemp, with no THC, no “drug” value, is illegal to grow here…simply because it LOOK LIKE marijuana. You can grow hemp in nearly every other country in the world. Mercedes uses panels made from hemp as door reinforcements.
The world is totally out of whack. Picking on the sickest and most disabled patients in America is taking the government’s “war on drugs” to all time lows. They should truly be ashamed…but they aren’t. No compassion there whatsoever.
