I’m on AOSP stock Android 4.2.1 (except it’s rooted and I have latest Faux123 kernel (3.0.57-tuna-faux123-jb-025+)). I have installed Anti-theft rooted.
I left my phone tonight without charging, and when I woke up, I saw this:
My Phone have GPS disabled always, unless I manually enable it for using with Maps,…
Of course, I have enabled Anti-theft to use GPS (and activate it) if needed.
Btw, in the interval I haven’t requested to locate my phone via GPS (neither via my.avast.com, neither SMS,…), and it’s not set to report location at any frequency.
If I can be of any help, I can run command (adb shell) on my phone, or any thing that could help debugging the issue. (well I believe it’s an issue).
I am using AT 2.0.2627. It says there’s no update.
Yet, as I said earlier, I have not experienced that behaviour anymore. It was a one time problem. :). Now I don’t see any battery consumption by Avast.
Hello, i have the same problem , last night the phone started draining battery like hell out of a sudden. but unfortunately the reboot didnt fix my issue. i have uninstalled but the service is still running : com.avast.android.antitheft . i am unable to stop it , only with a wipe /factory reset . any hints on what to do ?
I only have the phone rooted, no custom rom, the stock one that the phone came with
I rebooted the phone yesterday and it seems it solved the problem. Now the power consumption is 0% (yesterday it was around 80% due to the GPS usage).
It seems there is a bug, but I don’t know how to reproduce it. If it happens again, I will write and try to help to debug it if necessary.
