I attempted to download Avast and I did not monitor the action. I did look at the progress once and it was at 81 percent complete. The next time I looked, it had disappeared. I can’t find any trace of it on my computer. I have not had any trouble with other downloads. The machine was and is still running, in fact, it just downloaded a Windows update. Anyone have any suggestions other then another attempt? Thanks, Jim.
Where do you normally save downloaded files to ?
The avast installation file name is setupeng.exe.

If you use a dial-up connection I suggest you use also a download manager.
