AVAST auto renewed my subscription, which I didn’t want, with an expired expiration date on my credit card! I need the charge removed now!
not a very professional answer eddy
It sure is as the OP can find all the info there.
So true Ripcord59, I looked through all the FAQ’s already. It still doesn’t tell me how they can charge my CC without a valid expiration date. My card expired on 05/31/17 and they charged it on 06/12/17. So seems like a case of fraud to me. I purposely didn’t update my auto-renewal since I had gotten an email from AVAST saying they needed my card updated with the correct expiration date. I want to know how they could still charge me without a valid date.
Maybe you should ask your Bank ??? After all, they are the ones that allowed the charge.
True, but still AVAST knew they didn’t have the correct date and billed it anyway, so they knowingly sent in the incorrect information to get money. I have reported it as fraud to my credit card company.
avast did nothing wrong.
They charged you as you agreed with.
avast not having the correct date is your fault.
You should have updated your payment details.
If you want to report someone, report your credit card company to the authorities as they are the ones who allowed the transaction although the card should have been blocked.
This type of response just validates why I cancelled my acct with AVAST. It is still fraud as they knowingly sent in the information knowing it was wrong. They just got lucky. Very poor customer service.
There is no fraud at all.
avast legally tried to charge you and your credit card company allowed it.
You did not updated your details and your credit card company did not block the transfer although they should have i.m.o.
The only ones to blame here are you and the credit card company.
As I’ve already mentioned, What about your Bank ??? Contact them and get your money back from them since they didn’t follow the law.
They are at fault not Avast.
