how can i purge persistent cache and re-buld a new cache

The persistent cache is indeed stored in the db*.dat files (there's one file per volume). Typically, they shouldn't be bigger than a few hundred KBs.

but there are keys that point to the volumes where i create persistent cache

may i know how can i delete the cache (to rebuid a new) and delete the keys that point to the volume where i created the persistent cache
