How can I repair and use infected file with MW97:Thus family

Avast detected and send inmediately from my usb to virus vault, an infected .doc with MW97:Thus family. How can I repair and restaured this document?. Please help me!!

Send a sample from the chest to avast. It is a years old Word-macro virus.
Internally, there are two distinct repair levels - weak-failsafe (tries to remove the infection), and stronger-cruel (would remove all macros). By default, gui applies the first level, but here the 451/42060 is returned (“file was not repaired”), and the higher level isn’t used in turn. After sending the report the avast people may introduce a stronger repair,

I just purchased and installed Avast! for my iMac, and the first scan showed 472(!) files infected with the MW97: Thus family virus. It doesn’t affect my files, but it prevents people with PCs from opening the files is if send them. How can I clean/repair these files? Thanks.
