C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Alwil Software\Avast5\report (Windows 2000, Windows XP). Or C:\ProgramData\Alwil Software\Avast5\report (windows Vista, windows 7).
Or after clean install of avast 6:
C:\Documents And Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avast Software\Avast\report (Windows 2000, Windows XP). Or C:\ProgramData\Avast Software\Avast\report (windows Vista, windows 7).
Note: You have to have to select Generate report file option checked:
From the avastUI, Scan Computer, select the specific scan you are doing, More Details, Settings, Report File, see image1.
This will create a report file of the same name as the scan in the default folder location unless you change it (the * to the full path and file name you want), see image2.
@ marcopivetta
The reason you don’t see or have the same interface is you aren’t looking at the same area.
My image was for the actual scan settings, having opened one of my Scan Computer, Scan now option and not the Scan logs of your image. The Scan logs will only show existing logs, my image shows how to enable the creation of the log and giving it a name or location other than the default location.
My second image is from windows explorer not avast showing the various report/log files and where they are located.
However, you can have a report for all avast scans, Quick, Full System Scan, etc. you just have to click on the More Details option to expand the window and then on the settings link to generate the report file see the image I posted originally.
Your image is after a scan so you won’t see the settings until you click the OK button closing/ending that scan. Now the Scan Settings option and Report file will be available.
