really enjoy avast, but i HATE like hell those popups all the times
saying new update availible, or any other damn popup.

How do i disable the pop ups ?
Configure avast to silent mode.
Right click the ‘a’ blue icon, Program Settings, Update (Basic), Details.

Well it should have worked, did you check to see that the setting stuck after seeing the pop-up.
Had you mentioned this was in relation to gaming we would have given a different answer, Program Settings, Troubleshooting, there is a gaming setting, see image (click to enlarge)
well i dont and rarely run full screen app’s
ewen gameing, the games are run in a window.
but i checked it, and will wait to see if it still does it.

If the games aren’t run full screen then it wouldn’t work as that is what it is checking for, full screen applications.
I don’t know why the other one didn’t work, but you could try this option Update (Basic), Details button again, but uncheck the Show sliding box after automatic update, see image.
