My parents and I have been using the free trial of avast on each of our computers for a few weeks, we then decided to buy the full version for use on both computers. we paid for it through paypal and thats it. nothign has happened since, it still says its the free version on both of our computers. are we supposed to go somewhere and download the full version? are they sending us a disk? whats going on? thank you for the assistance.
Did you check your e-mail to see if you got a license key? After that you just click on the key and your Avast Free should upgrade to Pro/IS/Premier if you are using the Free version.
You should have received an email with the license attached (license.avastlic) or a link to download it.
Save that license file to your hard disk and double click on it, that should enter the license into avast for you. If you still have the free version installed (and you are on-line) it should convert it to the version you paid for.
You can also ask to have the avast! License Resent http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.
