how do i set up my premium edition of avast to scan my email?
it has never done anything for my email account(with comcast) and my email is currently screwed up. it works ok but i get hundreds of emails a day from some sort of postmaster thing saying unable to deliver. i’m hoping avast would solve this issue. thanks in advance

This usually happens if you send mail to an address that does not exist, the postmaster return mail should have info of what address that is. You say hundreds, are you sending hundreds mail a day ??? Have you checked your computer for malware doing a full scan with avast! and Malwarebytes ?
It is also a common spam/social engineering tactic to get you to open the attached file to see why it failed.
It could also be an indication that someone (or possibly your system {spambot}) is sending out spam and using your email address as the from address. Dumb anti-spam software may block or return the email to the supposed sender.
If someone’s system is infected with a spambot, it harvests the email address in the address book and other locations and uses them to either put in the from email address or send spam to.
It is too easy to fake the from email address.
