When i installed it something came up about registering. How do i do this?

Try starting the program, click the menu, open the help file, at the bottom of the help file is a detailed registration proceedure. Also here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=22615.0 is a search page from the forum with one search term entered, should be helpful.
Let us know if that doesn’t (or does) work.
