How do I take a picture of avast popup with Screen hunter 6.0 free

HI I was wondering if I could ask a question I was wondering if someone could tell me how or if I can capture a picture of avasts popup some how with Screen Hunter 6.0 free version I was just wanting to now this because I have never been able to get a picture of avasts popups at all with Screen hunter 6.0 free.

Thanks very much for the help and your time
have a good week everyone

Remotely from another machine is the workaround I use.

I use SnagIt 10 a paid option there are other free versions out there - but getting a screen capture of an avast popup should be no different to getting a regular capture. It is just that it has to be on screen at the time.

You don’t say what this popup is ?
Though I believe it is one of the toaster popups as Vladimyr posted. These popups are only there for a short duration, so if it takes time to get Screen hunter started you can ‘pin’ the popup to the screen, click the pin icon in the top right of the popup. See image, top for unpinned, bottom for pinned.

You also don’t say why you can’t capture it, so it is somewhat difficult to suggest ways to capture it/them ?

I’ve not used SnagIt or other tools but with Screenhunter, as soon as you invoke it, the popup disappears but then returns after the capture is finished.

I would be looking at finding another screen capture application then. But surely if you pinned the popup to the screen then even when you launch screen hunter it should remain.

WinSnap screen capture - version 1 is FREE for personal - http://www.filehippo.com/download_winsnap/?2173 is just one, but there are many more.

What about the old fashioned way? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Print_screen

Well you have to process the old print screen copy to clipboard, convert it into an image (crop as required, etc.) before uploading it.

Screen capture software enables a much easier capture option.

I realize that the additional processing is a pain. It does require a few more steps. But it is an easy way to capture something that disappears too quickly or something that you cannot maintain focus on. Just hit the print screen button and it is saved to the clipboard. There is no waiting for a program to start before you can capture it.

I do prefer screen capture software. I would only use print screen as a last resort.

Edit: a digital camera would be the last resort.

The OP has vista so he can also use the Snipping Tool.
