How do i uninstall avast!

My computer came with a free version of avast but when i try to uninstall it so my computer is compatible McAfee i just bought it says

avast!
a settiface error has occured: 2
Try to reinstall or contact support please.

can anyone tell me how to uninstall this easily?

I don’t know why you would want to replace avast! :cry:
I personally think it’s better than the choice you’ve made but,
it’s your computer and your on-line safety. :slight_smile:

Try the avast! uninstall utility at http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-uninstall-utility.html . Usually no problem uninstalling avast!, but this should take care of it.
