I have an active license, but I don’t like most of the cleanup it wants to do. I’ve been right-click quitting cleanup, but it would be convenient if I could just uninstall it to get it out of the way.
That works for me.
The uninstall does end with a message:
Some elements could not be removed. These can be removed manually.
(Though it doesn’t say anything about where to go look for the parts to remove – I blame windows)
You’re welcome.
Hi,
we are sorry to see you go but we respect your decision so you can check the following folders whether there is anything left:
c:\Program Files (x86)\AVAST Software\Avast Cleanup
c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software
You can safely remove everything there including the folders itself however it is a bit weird because usually our uinstaller is capable of removing everything there.
Regards.
