Are there any Avast users that have a way to stop the restart pop-up prompt from popping up every time Avast wants to update? It is super annoying and we restart our computers often anyway. Silent mode only works if you have a full screen application and the option in older versions to completely disable the restart pop-up is gone. Is there a config file or a registry key to remove this?
Cheers, yea we tried this setting and it doesn’t work. According to what I have found, silent mode only applies when you are running full screen applications? There sheer amount of people asking about how to turn this feature off on the web and no response from Avast.
There is an option in the pop-up to delay the restart for a more convenient time.
The pop-up is there for a reason…to remind users to reboot. Too many users
put their computers into sleep mode and seldom shutdown their machines
completely, which is a bad habit to begin with.
