What is the different between password and license key? What should i do if i forgot the password?
If i forget the password, can i still uninstall the avast program?

Your license key activates Avast!, your password is meant to stop people from messing with Avast! settings without permissions.
Yes, I am pretty sure you can still uninstall it without the password.
In fact, if you lost the pass, I think this is the only thing you can do, re-install.
note: By “Admins”, do you mean Avast! employees? I am just an Avast! user, like yourself. If you want your answer from the Avast! team directly, they usually start showing up a couple hours from now.
You set the password (which has nothing to do with the license key) to prevent unauthorised changes to the avast settings.
So have you set a password ?
If so I would suggest that you have a discrete reminder somewhere (or a password manager application), because if you forget it the only real (easiest) option is to reinstall avast.
Or manage to delete the C:\ProgramData\Alwil Software\Avast5\aswResp.dat file.
Disable self-defense module. Delete as admin user (or use Unlocker.exe).

David: yup, i learned from my mistake. now I already write down somewhere the password. hopefully in the next couple months, i won’t forget where I put it. hahahahah ;D
