How many personal systems can i innstal the paid version on?

Just renewed a lapsed subscription because they emailed me a discount. Seems Avast doesn’t go on sale as much as Avira and other brands do these days. Anyway im just finishing up a new desktop computer build an was wondering how many computers i can instal my licence on. I know Avira gives you like 3 or something, how many do you get with avast? I wanted it on my laptop and desktop

How many personal systems can i innstal the paid version on?
as many as you have payed / license is valid fore

if you need to contact avast https://support.avast.com

so i can only have it on the laptop it was originally on? Not my laptop and desktop? Too bad. So Avast is more expensive AND more restrictive than a lot of the competition… great

Blea if thats the case im not bothring to renew next year

If you had of bought a license to cover 3 systems then it would be cheaper than buying 3 individual licenses for single systems, thinking for future requirements is always an advantage

Avira Pro is also $44 a year, Avast Pro is $35…Avira not so cheap ::slight_smile:

No. If the original laptop you used that license for is not working anymore, you can install that paid version of Avast in another system. What you can not do, as CraigB explained, is to run the same license for 1 system in other machines. However you can buy one licence for several systems if you choose to do so.

Pro Tip : If you buy a license for 3 systems, but only use it on 2 : You can share the license with someone else
As long as the license is not used on more systems as you paid for !

Greetz, Red.

how do i check if i did buy a licence for multiple systems? Doubt i did, but worth a look

@CraigB yes but Avira goes on sale constantly, Avast almost never. Which is why i let it lapse. If i had known you can only put it on one system i would have just stick with Avira honestly. Since they let you put it on a few different systems with one licence (laptop, dekstop, ect)

In the e-mail you got from Avast with your license or:

I do not know much of Avira lately since I tried the free version long time ago, but that is not what its site says; " 1device/1year " in all its paid versions.

May be they have a family license where it can be run in differents machines in the household but I could not find it.
