How To Change Password Or Reinstall

I am running the free version of avast! on a Dell Laptop with an Insperon 3521. It is 64 bit and running Windows 8.1 with all current updates including avast! I am unable to change or reset my password and cannot uninstall avast! either. I went to http://blog.avast.com/2014/04/03/how-to-reset-your-avast-administration-console-password/ and followed the instructions. I ran cmd as a regular user and also as the Administrator. This is what I get:

So, I do not know what to do. I am frustrated because had I known I am installing a product I can never uninstall I never would have done this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have found no other threads dealing with this and if I missed them I apologize and would appreciate being referred to those threads.

If avast program password is lost, you need to reinstall

Read instructions and remove with this http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility

Try a clean install…

Download and save avast clear
Download and save RejZor’s cleanup tool You will need to scroll down the page to find it.
Download and save your choice…

Run the “avast clear” from above. You will be prompted to reboot into safe mode…click “yes”.
Reboot and run RejZor’s cleanup tool from above. (This will remove any low level drivers left behind from “avast clear”.)
Reboot.
Install avast choice from above.
Reboot and register or insert license.
