how to disable avast temporarily

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
What files ?
If they are related to Avast then even disabling Avast Shields temporarily won’t stop the Avast Self defence module.
However, you can temporarily Avast Shields using the Right Click menu of the Avast Tray Icon.

Now I struggle to re-activate Avast, does not work without several reboots probably 
What operating system, what version of Avast are you using and what version number ?
See my specs and OS below my posts and I’m not having this problem. Then again I’m not doing anything whilst I have Avast Shields paused.
You still don’t say what these special files are ?
Plus what do you mean by ‘special files’ what Avast doesn’t like and what error/block is Avast throwing up ?
