http://forum.avast.com/index.php?msg=881804

i’m not asking about the license key
i’m asking the LICENSE FILE like ( .avastlic) format.

in your first post you say you have avast PRO… PRO is not FREE…you must buy a license

avast FREE does not need a license…just register

so what is it do you have FREE…or are you buying PRO

I have a downloaded file free avast 7.0 pro anti virus with trial version .
That i installed in my PC that activation mode is trial version.
it’s completed the 30 day’s now i need to insert the license file to activate next 1 year .But i’m confusion about this
I have a license key but in my avast it’s asking only activation file only .That’s way i’m asking in this site

If you’ve already buyed the Pro version, then just doubleclick your license file. If not, then you must first buy your Pro license.

you are mixing two different programs here avast PRO…is only free for the 30 day test period…then you must buy a license

avast FREE…is free but you have to register for the one year free…the again after one year

But i need only free version which one is better for me what type of setup is suitable for me pro/free antivirus/internet security
Which one is suitable for me, for validate atleast one year

please help me

Download avast Free from here: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
Uninstall your current version → restart your PC → install the downloaded avast Free → restart your PC

You must only register after installing the Free version. Look at the link already given by Asyn: https://support.avast.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=1073

You do not need an avast account to use the free version, just register from the UI or during the install.
