I have recently rooted and unlocked my mobile. However, I can’t seem to change the firewall status. On clicking on it it says it can’t be enabled because it can’t get root access.
So how to I allow the firewall to be able to run the SU command?
There is no root version of AMS, that is very likely your problem.

I’m on CM 13. It turns out that I needed to also add SuperSU. On running Avast it then asked for root access and I granted it.
Hi, yes, you need to install the SuperSU application - it is required to grant root privileges after you complete root process for your phone. Once you install SuperSU, open Avast Firewall, enable it with Action Bar switch and wait for SuperSU popup to appear. Grant root privileges. This will make all the switches enabled.
I had not expected to need to do this, since with CM 13 you can enable root access without SuperSU (and I had done that). Still, no matter, it works now
