I followed the tutorial from the video provided by Avast, and I keep getting a notice that says “It could not import any data”
Replace the current bookmark file with the one from the old version.
Where exactly would I find that old file please?
Where you have saved it.
Not certain what you mean by “where I saved it” since the old bookmarks are supposed to be automatically restored from my browser in import section. Where exactly are you referring to that “I saved them”? Can you be pacific please? There is no info that suggest I should have saved the bookmarks anywhere before a reinstall of Avast.
What old bookmarks ?
If you mean from the SafeZone browser and you did a clean install of the latest version, they are gone.
Then why does Avast offer the option to import from the old version of Avast Browser? Thanks for helping.
That is for if you have saved the passwords and want to import them again after a clean installation.
As you did a clean installation there are no old passwords anymore.
They are gone.
Not only do I have my old passwords back, but I saved my bookmarks as html files on my computer and was able to import them back to my reinstall of Avast. So you are wrong again sir, it is possible to do a reinstall and still save bookmarks even though Avast function for imports doesn’t seem to be working at all. It seems I am not so computer unsavy afterall. I had hoped you could enlighten me more about remedies for Avast.
No, you are wrong.
You don’t seem to understand what I said.
