Whenever I send an email from my gmail account using Outlook Express, I get a popup box message from avast saying it can’t scan SSL and that I should disable SSL in my email client. However I am not going to change anything in my email client. Instead, I want to kill this unwanted information nag from avast. Is that possible? How?
Hi JohnnyBob,
I presume that you mean the message in the image?
There is an option to turn it off, if you don’t want avast! to scan mail.
Open avast! GUI → ‘Real time shields’ → Mail Shield -->Expert settings → SSL accounts → Uncheck ‘Automatically detect and warn about unprotected.SSL connections’

Yes, that’s it. Thanks.
