I have a program which opens a LOT of files. I want to speed it up.
How can I tell the Avast on-access scanner to ignore those?
If I could either tell it which extensions to ignore, or that all files opened with this application are trusted.
Thx

You can exclude specific files/folders from being scanned (in Standard Shield exclusion settings), but you can’t exclude a specific application (from scanning files on arbitraty location).
That helped. Thx
I added the folder in Standard Shield/Customized/Advanced.
Even though I went into ‘Customized…’ and set the sensitivity slider to ‘Custom’, it always moved back to ‘High’ when I reload the window. Is that normal?
TIA
If you did not change any setting, moving the slider won’t made any difference.
You should change settings and then the slider will stay on custom.
