how to recover "vaxscsi.sys" that has been incorrectly quarantined

It was previous quarantined by ANOTHER anti-virus software, I have already uninstalled it so I can not recover the file through it.

Device Manager:

  1. no “USB or 1394 drives” under [Disk Drives];
  2. no “Intel(R) 83802EB USB Universal Host Controller-24D2 / 24D4” under [Universal Serial Bus controllers]

Below is what I found in registry, any suggestion???

As a result, I can not use my external hard drive; it can be detected(as a small round popup window saying so) but can’t work, and NO additional drive icon showed in “my computer” when connected.

Do you still have the software that came with the external drive?
If so, try to reinstall that software.
