how to remove "AskSBar" from the computer?

I have a problem of removing AskSBar from the computer. I had tries scan from Avira premium and Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware, and avast. There’s no detection of any malware, adware or trojans. i have tries remove in manyways, but no success. In my research i found out that many people sees is a adware!!

i need some suggestions of removing from my computer.

If it is listed into the Control Panel > Add/Remove programs, I’ll suggest that you try RevoUninstaller (http://www.revouninstaller.com/).

i tries to find it, but i can’t find it. forgot to mention it the AskSBar is from the toolbar from ask.com. i uninstall it but it leftover from registries. i just want it to deleted, but it side access denied 5.

Maybe CCleaner could do something with Registry in this case (and also temporary files). Can you try?

i tries revouninstaller, TuneUp Utilities 2009, and ccleaner with no success :frowning:

Try ToolbarCop http://www.snapfiles.com/get/toolbarcop.html, if that doesn’t work, see below.

Program & Tutorial - Also useful as a diagnostic tool - FileHippo Download - HiJackThis and post the contents of the HJT log file here. - HJT Information HiJackThis Tutorial.

Download and run HJT and post the contents of the log file (cut and paste or attach the log file) into this topic, you may need to split it over two or more posts depending on how large it is.

The key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT{80b8c23c-16e0-4cd8-bbc3-cecec9a78b79} is empty. The associated file type is useless and can be deleted.

He he, why so surprised ;D

I have no idea what this CLSID is, but google brings up lots of hits, mainly in security forums, etc.

Some believe this to be related to from the new Antivir 9, so it may be related to your first post’s mention of avira. So did you install avira completely ?

If so try this - Avira AntiVir Uninstall Package & RegistryCleaner (choose appropriate version): http://www.avira.com/en/support/support_downloads.html.
