how to remove spam in subject line of a non-spam email

hi, I have emails that are not spam being labeled as spam in my subject line. In thunderbird I mark it as not junk but it continues to label these good emails as spam. How do I stop that from happening. colleen thanks

What avast version do you have, as the only anti-spam feature in avast is in the avast! Internet Security (AIS) version ?

I’m not even sure if the anti-spam works in thunderbird.

I had the free version and just bought Avast Internet Security april 30th, and after that some of my emails are labeled spam.

OK, I don’t use the AIS version - If you click the ? SUPPORT option at the top of the avastUI, the Program Help ‘Open Help’ button, Additional Protection, Spam Protection. That should give you more information, you can add the sender to the whitelist.

You can deactivate this function: Open GUI → Additional Protection → Antispam → Expert Settings → uncheck “Mark in subject of spam messages”. Then you only use the anti-spam function of Thunderbird.
