My android phone has been infected with a virus. how can this virus be removed?
Does Avast Mobile Security indicate what the “virus” is?

Try booting your phone into safe mode and uninstall any weird or recently installed apps. Then run a scan with something like Malwarebytes or Avast Mobile Security. If that doesn’t fix it, backup your stuff and do a factory reset, that usually wipes out any virus completely.
I’d also make sure your virus definitions are fully up to date before running another full scan. If it still isn’t removed, try scanning in Safe Mode and let everyone know the exact malware name Avast is detecting. That usually makes it much easier to figure out the best way to remove it.
