How to repair a NON TRUSTED Network, Please???

Hello,

I am in a really big mess. I really hope someone can help me fix my network connection from Non Trusted to Trusted, Please? I am using Windows 7 and I know it is going way in Jan. 2020, but I need to get this issue fixed asap. I guess I can wipe everything off my computer, if that would get my computer safe again? Any suggestions, please?

Perhaps an easy way to fix this problem, please?

Thanks for your time.

Do you have a firewall?

Thanks for replying back to me.
Yes, I am using the Windows firewall.
Hopefully, this can be fixed, without me completing a computer reset?

Do a connection test with nettcpip here and report back your results:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/nettcpip/test-netconnection?view=win10-ps
and https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/
Or test through methods described here:

I have Windows 7, not Windows 10. So, I can not use the first one, as it states Windows 10.
The second one is way out of my league, I do not know what to click for the test. I am sorry I am clueless. Is there an easy way to do this test, please?

Where does the popup message come from, firewall ... browser .... ?

Screenshots of warning messages is always a big help

The popup message comes up where the message tells me when I enable Avast SecureLine, lower right side of monitor screen. The next time this message shows up, I will try to make a screen shot of it and post it. Could the problem be coming from the Avast SecureLine? It does not happen all the time when I enable the Avast SecureLine, only when I get connected to a Non Trusted Network. I noticed in the Windows Firewall, where I can use the default settings for the firewall. But, it would change any settings I may have made. I do not recall making any changes in the firewall. Should I click the link to change the firewall back to the default settings or not? Is this safe to do, please?

Trusted Network = Private Network

Non-Trusted Network = Public Network

Open Avast SecureLine VPN>Click Menu>Click Settings>Click Current Network Profile. Report back what you find.

See attached below:

[EDIT:] You say you are using Avast SecureLine VPN, which is, in fact an Avast product, so maybe you should go here? Or not? https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=53.0

Current Network Profile
Network Connection is Private
There is a check mark in the box in front of the Current Network Profile. Exclude Trusted (private) networks. What is this please and should it be a check mark in the box?
I am on the Network Firewall I am using the Home network connection.

No printer and file sharing enabled.

It simply means not to turn on the VPN when you are using a trusted network like your home network.

Thank You very much for telling me.

The operating system used doesn’t matter.
Home network = trusted
