How to run Symantec End point & Avast 8 simultaneously

Hi All,

I had been using Avast 7 & Symantec End (SE) point protection simultaneously.

Symantec End point protection is administrated by my Internet Service Provide & I don’t have rights to do right-click scan & quick scan. So, I had installed Avast 7 in custom mode so that it doesn’t interfere with SE. I had disabled all shields & was using Avast just for quick-scan & right-click scan.

Now, when I installed Avast 8, I did get an option to do custom installation but the option of running it in parallel with some other Antivirus wasn’t available. I haven’t installed any shields but still want to know if there’s any setting which should be done to run it in parallel with SE without any conflict.

I also checked the action-center of widows 7, it says SE is running but also mentions that running two anti-virus programs may degrade the performance. So, would like to know how can I get the above two features of Avast 8,without disabling SE.

unless you can uninstall Norton i would then recomend using Malwarebytes and Norton
