How to Stop SafeZone From Using Chrome

Hi, Avast Internet Security SafeZone is opening Chrome as its browser, despite Chrome not appearing on my Programs list. In Avast Settings, Troubleshooting, I have ticked “do not use Chrome as Avast default browser” but it makes no difference. Chrome will not save its settings, and beyond that there are multiple reasons I can’t stand that browser which isn’t the topic here.

Can I uninstall Chrome and then have Avast SafeZone use my default browser, which is Firefox?

I think the answer is no.

SafeZone is a security tool built on/around Chromium, it will not appear in your programs list and is not installed for general use.
