I purchased Avast Internet Security as I was told it was a trusted security system that worked in the background and did not bother the user constantly with notifications popping up and not going away until clicking them off.
The goldurned notifications stop my composing in email or whatever files I am working on.
So, will someone tell me how to stop these notifications??

I had already clicked the no Avast pop up offers & has all of the notifications set to 0 and they keep coming. When I set to SILENT MODE, it goes nutzoid letting me know that i will not receive notifications if it is set at SM. Will keep trying to figure this out.
I have had paid Avast Internet for 3 yrs and did not have problems with the notifications but since the very recent updates, it has been extremely annoying & interruptive
A screenshot of the popup would be helpful.

Can you post some screenshots of these notifications so we can try to fathom what is responsible and why you are getting them.
