How to Stop This Popups

Hi! How to stop or even just close the nagging popup to “improve passwords?” I have some low security passwords for mundane things like forced signups or forced opt-ins historically “Download or free ebook! Signup now!” (that kinda thing, you know what I mean) that it’s not worth redoing passwords for all of these non-critical things we don’t really care about. Yet we keep getting popups from Avast Password Manager to “improve” these, with no option or X to close this except to go to Dashboard etc. each and every time. Any workaround for this? Thanks! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hi @David1131 , can you please send us a screenshot showing the popup you’re referring to?

Hello! Here’s the screenshot. Even if you click the X, it remains. Only thing to do is Go to Dashboard, pretend you do some stuff, then the popup will disappear.
Thanks!

Thank you @David1131 , we will get this fixed.

@David1131 we are now checking if the close button is working reliably.

In any case, the popup should only appear after ~30 days when closed (even via the “Go to dashboard” button). So if you see it appearing more often, there might be something wrong with your browser cache. Can you please try the following workaround?

  1. Uninstall Avast Password Manager: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/uninstall-avast-password-manager/
  2. Restart your web browser
  3. Reinstall Avast Password Manager: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/install-avast-password-manager/
  4. Sign into your vault
  5. Check if the problem persists
