how to uninstall avast 4 home edition?

I would like to know how to uninstall avast 4. ???
A friend of mine just installed it and cant delete it off his comp, and i fiddled with it now too, and it beats me, so if any1 knows? :slight_smile:

Use tha avast uninstaller here http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_uninstall_util.html

EDIT However you may have to reinstall avast first if you have been tinkering

i advized my friend to install avast, cuz i love it, best av program ive tried, but he wants to use avg, so anyways, he wanted me to uninstall it, so i am, but i wouldnt uninstall it off my comp, i think it works awesome:)

:)youre welcome, thanx for your guys help on how to do this, then i can call it a night:)
He says he doesnt know how to work avast is why he wishes to uninstall.
I love avast, its simple, it picks up on bugs, deletes em, awesome speaking update:P
I dunno, i triede mcafee, norton, avg, etc etc, best so far is avast.

I’m sure we’ll understand your friend’s choice, he’ll still be welcome to try avast! again if he change his mind. :wink:

Why doesn’t he use Add-Remove Programs function to uninstall programs?

I dunno, hes not quite used to computers yet, except for text program and chatting. And hes a dork, pardon my expression, he wouldnt listen to me when i told him avast was much better than avg, i mean avg doesnt even recognize some viruses, and if it does you cant delete em.

In avast it recognizes them and you can delete them.
