I bought the Avast4 Pro a week ago and my mails still end with the mention that I am using the free version , which is not very professional ! [
It says (in French !) i](J’utilise la version gratuite de SPAMfighter pour utilisateurs privés.556 e-mails spam ont été bloqués jusqu’à maintenant.Les utilisateurs payant n’ont pas ce message dans leurs e-mails.Essayez SPAMfighter gratuitement maintenant!)[/i]
I don’t want my clients to read this message, which is not professional. Spamfighter said that it would disapear when buying the Pro version. How can I “erase” it ?
Well it’s a strange message as it’s not the avast default.
You can go here and see what’s writen in the messages in avast. you can also edit them accordingly
Left click the “a” icon, select the Internet Mail provider (for outlook express) or the Outlook provider (for Outlook) and click the customize button.
On the pop and the smtp tabs (also the next two tabs if you are interested) is a format notes link. Click the link and check each entry by clicking on it and click okay.
Edit out the offending message, if found. If you want the default message post back and I can give them to you.
For avast, there is no difference between the Home/Pro versions clean notes. Both are fully configurable and the defaults are identical.
As said by the others, your problem is with Spamfighter.
If this had actually been a problem with avast itself, one feature would be handy: a “Restore to defaults” button, rather than having to edit the message.
Of course maybe that’s already in avast, and I never had occasion to look for it or use it.
