So it is just the normal programmes that you installed that are missing ?
You can re-install Avast
Programmes are not missing…i think windows jus caanot load right icons. also for example in right-bottom you can normally see multiple icons e.g.outlook. dropbox, wifi-signal quality, etc…i can see only keyboard and speaker volume. and in unhide icons more, but there is “empty slots”.
i will install avast.
After few reboots i made i can see windows was working quite normally. then I changed bios time (it was in 1.1.2005) and now sick Pc is coming up, but fails after one min with BSOD.
REGISTRY_ ERROR
STOP: 0x00000051
any advice? i don’t have avast yet installed, i did not do anything last night except tried some sw was working and PC was ok (it was on) whole night.
can i fix registry with any tool?
OK this is indicative of a registry corruption
Are you able to boot into safe mode with networking
Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel (if present)
[]Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[]Once complete reboot your system
still here…
Yes, now i’m able to boot in safe mode.
i ran avastclear.exe and it succeeded.
but, it still gives the same BSOD (REGISTRY_ERROR STOP: 0x00000051)
this comes when Windows is coming up, i don’t touch to keyboard or mouse at all. yesterday the PC was up’n running whole night and i did not make any changes just opened some applications.
what i made before coming to this forum is that i tried to get even earlier backup than we took yesterday with HP recovery tool, but i’m not really sure if those worked. application always claimed that it was not successful…cannot be sure.
can you still help me? is there any smart tool which can fix the register?
So in safe mode it boots OK ?
Lets try a clean boot
In the search box type Msconfig and select the programme that appears at the top
1.In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.

2.Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
NoteThe Use Original Boot.ini check box is unavailable.
3.Click the Services tab.
4.Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.

5.Click Disable All, and then click OK.
6.When you are prompted, click Restart.
7.Allow to boot to normal mode and let me know if it behaves
safe mode is ok now. i made as instructed, windows looks faster…but still same BSOD, REGISTRY_ERROR.
hope you still have tricks…
i really appreciate your contribution, amazing.
Could you download and install the hotfix from this page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/321771
should i start now all services first what i stopped in previous step? now i don’t have network connection in safe mode…
well, i started services and logged in to website, but that fix is not for Win 7. it’s for win 2000.
i ran CCleaner Free regiser cleaning tool (not fixed) and it found several ActiveX/COM-problems. in information field there is InProcServer32\C:\Program\Alwil Software\Avast5.…dll
should i try to fix them?
Yes try that
nope, i fixed all and same continues. safe mode is still working and when i run ccleaner again no register errors found anymore.
REGISTRY_ERROR
