i woke up today on this alert of wpad.dat and am so annoyed of it
i have tried everything i know of till now to fix this but still nothing works
i also found out that my moms laptop is doing the same thing!!!(the laptop is connected to the same network but via wireless) and my Desktop is connected via cable through the same router
my router is D-link if that makes any difference
i need a fix plz for this

i don’t think it’s a FP,because it crashed the windows(blue screen) one time and my system very rarely crash!!
I am checking all threads now to see if there is a common feature to it. Meanwhile I am sure Avast is now checking this out

As soon as the streaming update is released then the alert will disappear, meanwhile on the bright side you now have a clean system
