https scanning still has problem

Still getting untrusted connection error in Firefox when going to Internet Banking from www.westpac.co.nz Disabling https scanning in Avast makes it work. Am using WinXP SP3, latest Firefox and the new Avast release.

It seems that site is not HTTPS, at least the front page. Or it might use unsecure SSL (instead of TLS), which is not supported by any new browsers.

Same problem on https://www.asb.co.nz/

No problems here neither with Opera 32 or latest FF. That site has Extented Validation, so Avast HTTPS scanning seems not to be used.

No problem or errors connecting to either site with avast 2015 10.4.2233 and firefox 40.0.3.

As mentioned the first URL isn’t https on the home page, http://www.westpac.co.nz/.

No problem when I login to both sites here.

Is it an operating system dependent thing? People running Windows XP please try these sites.

I rather doubt that.

Check my signature below my posts and you will see I use XP Pro SP3.

Both sites work for me.

With Opera 32 and Facebook, HTTPS scanning was acting funny. Some icons/images were not loaded and even logging in was hard at times.
