Huge memory usage of AvastSvc.exe with Firefox only

How to:

-Start firefox 53.0.3 (32-bit) open a webpage
-Check memory usage of avastSvC.exe
-Everything is super slow can’t load a webpage, avast is like scanning something.

I’m using Window 10, avast free version, 17.4.2294 (on this laptop) and Firefox 53.0.3 (32-bit) is my default browser, I usually have 4 pinned tabs and currently 10 tabs open, memory usage for avastSvc.exe is 12.9MB (went up to 16MB whilst, but levelling back out), whilst Firefox is using 792MB and will keep growing, it is a bit of a resource hog.
