Hyperlink From Web Page

Hello from a new Avast user. Very much like the program, however, have been unable to find answer to this. I often copy the URL hyperlink from a webpage into the Word document I am copying information from the web into. Since installing AVAST, the URL copies without the hyperlink, which necessitates the additional step of adding the hyperlink back in.

Anyone know the setting which would change this? I hesitate to start changing settings on my own without knowing what I am doing.

Thanks very much.

Welcome to Avast. Good choice
I think you should tell which Avast you’re using - free? paid? suite? and version.
Also which version of Office or Word you have.

I do the same. So I just retried it to make sure. I paste the link into Word and I do need to hit Enter at the end of the line. At that point it does become hyperlink. My system is in the signature, and Word is 2003.

No, I don’t know what, if any, setting is responsible for your inconvenience.

I don’t think that this is connected with avast, as it shouldn’t effect how word displays links, that is an internal word function.

I have just run a test on my XP Pro system with an ancient version of word and the links become live after a return or space, see image.
