Somehow Avast started to mass blocking our players, even since there was no update in those days it just came suddenly. We are using Unity3D engine.
Is there anychance our filenames GVLauncherUpdater.exe, GVLauncher.exe and gv.exe got blacklisted by Avast?
I’v tried running them at Virustotal and they are totally clean.
I am not sure if I am posting in a correct section but did my best to try to find it.
You can report it as a False Positive by emailing virus@avast.com (ZIP it password protected (Password: FP) Include the password in the email!! (Correct Case Sesntivity!
Or
Go into the Virus Chest (Statistics - Companent Status - Virus Chest - Find the file(s), right click and Submit to virus Lab. Fill it out accordingly.)
Also, I would take down the image, and modify so we cantt see the skype names.
can you please send us these files on email? Because when I search through our DB I found only one of these files. I turned detection off but we need the rest of files to fix all false positives,
By the way - should we contact Avast everytime we change those files? As for example we will be moving from custom launcher into Unity3D based next week.
It looks to be working! Thank’s everyone for helping us.
That’s not much I could offer for help but everyone who’s helped in this topic could message me with email adress so I could send invitation to the game
Ok, sadly after creating a new version of our launcher some people are getting blocked with Avast Pro again.
As we are creating a new launcher version almost every two weeks I would like to ask if there is any way to prevent it? We are using Unity3D engine for it.
