I am scared on how fast Avast is scanning

I suppose this is a bit unorthadox to complain about, but i am more concerned then anything, but my avast is scanning far faster then it has in the past, usually a quick scan takes about 8-9 minutes, but now a quick scan can be as fast as 3-4 minutes! Granted, i do not have much on my hardrive being a new computer, but for the past month or two it has been constant 8-9 minutes, but now it’s been half that time! I am concerned, as my last computer had some issues, and they were not picked up by avast.

In short, is this sudden increase in speed of a scan connected to, perhaps a virus, malware, worm, or even a Trojan horse?

A quick scan covers all area where activly running malware would hide. I only runn full if quick detect anything

oh, i didn’t know that! so there’s nothing to be worried about in terms of how fast? because i heard some stories of scans being very quick, because a virus, or malware makes it so

might’ve been from another forum i was on years ago. how come? is it not true?
