I am worried my sensitivity has been set to custom, without my knowledge.

Hello there again. ;D

I never tamper with my Avast! sensitivity settings usually all on NORMAL (except IM’S and Internet e-mail I set to HIGH).

Tonight I have done a routine boot time scan (all clear) and noticed all my sensitivity settings were set to CUSTOM (I didn’t do this knowingly)???

I am the only user of my laptop. I am worried at how long my settings have been altered (no idea at the moment), and if I have exposed my system to harm at being set to custom (without customising).

My system has been running a bit slow of late…(XP SP3)

Just need some reassurance… Thanks!

Scan with MalwareBytes Antimalware http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/ remember to click on "remove selected" after scan, this will move anything found to quarantine

Come back here and post scan log

Difficult to say, but Custom protection does not necessarily means less than Normal.
On avast5 you can set a password to avoid shield settings change.
