I dont want avast premium trial, why Is chaging my avast free after update? I dont want a 30 Days free trial of premium, i just want avast free with minimum protección.
And why now the offline installer dont let me choose any options of what is installing? Is forcing me to install everything that i dont want or need, and then, i have to re install/modified the instalation, makes no sense.
Scroll down to Stop offers for other products. - you can additionally stop seeing offers for other Avast products and Personalised Discounts. ** Avast UI > Menu > Settings > General > Notifications > Offers
Also check the AvastUI > Menu > Settings > General - Notifications, I would suggest using the Pop-up Notifications treatment - Limited Mode.
I would also suggest
Don’t run off-line scans as at the end of the scan you are likely to be offered other products. Especially if you haven’t got the above settings.
I have only been using Avast Antivirus Free for over 21 years, I don’t get this much in the way of push to get Premium. If I do (very rare) I just ignore it.
You don’t have to use the offline installation file, just use the Automatic update or do a Manual Update check from the User Interface, that essentially keeps your settings and component you have.
Thks for reply David. First of all im not talking about popups, i dont have problem with that.
The problem Is that the avast premium trial gets install automático without any pop up or even asking after avast free gets first update (after instalation), dont matter if its auto or manual update, same result: they are changing avast free to avast premium trial without asking, just forcing It. And i dont want it, It slow down the PC and install a lot of things that i dont want or need. I just want the free version with minimal shields protection like it was before.
Avast uses dark patterns to trick you into clicking on an upgrade-button. That is the most likely scenario of what happened. I always just click the ‘close window’ button instead of OK or something else.
There is also a bug in Avast Free that will indicate Avast Premium is installed under ‘products’ even though it is not.
If all you want is Avast Free, don’t ever fill in payment details. Uninstall Avast and re-install the free version.
If so you haven’t actually got Avast Premium installed, this UI bug appeared a couple of updates ago, you haven’t actually got the full components of Avast Premium.
No. Im talking, like i say before, i install avast free antivirus and It autoupdate into avast premium 30 dials trial. And It changes It into subscription aswell to 30 days. I being using avast free for years, and just since last month Is forcing me to change free to premium AND i dont want to.
I order to undertake the 30 day trial you have to signup to a subscription, which comes into effect at the end of the trial period unless you cancel the subscription, via your Avast Account.

I’ve also noticed that custom installation options are no longer available, and Avast installs things you don’t want without asking. The only solution is to adjust the installation settings afterward: Proceed as if you were going to uninstall Avast (via the Windows Control Panel), but instead of clicking “Uninstall,” right-click and select “Change.” There, Avast actually offers the option to uninstall individual components. At least for now.
